A familiar moment
"Why did I walk into this room?"
It was a small moment. Nothing dramatic. Just a quick trip into another room—and then, for a few seconds, the reason for being there seemed to disappear.
Later that day, there was another moment: a familiar name was right on the tip of the tongue, but it wouldn't come out. Then came the search for a pair of glasses that were already sitting on the table.
These moments can feel surprisingly frustrating. They can also make us stop and wonder: "Is this just ordinary forgetfulness, or should I be paying more attention to my brain health?"
The important distinction: occasional forgetfulness can happen at any age. But maintaining cognitive wellness is increasingly important as we grow older, and brain health is influenced by many interconnected biological and lifestyle factors.
